CHALLENGE

The challenge of this project was the applicative, technological and infrastructural evolution of the information system and the processes of the entire Group. We accompanied the company during a key transformation phase, culminating in the listing on the Italian Stock Exchange in 2014. We are still supporting the Fedon Group along its path of change and evolution.

The projects through which we have accompanied the growth in its business transformation process have covered the following phases:

  • Between 2003 and 2006: implementation of Oracle JDE software in Purchasing, Sales, Logistics and Production, both in the parent company and in the foreign affiliates;
  • From 2011 to 2013: Oracle JDE upgrade to version 9.0, with a system extension to the Chinese subsidiary, which represents the productive core of the entire Group. At the same time, we migrated the Database from DB2 to Oracle Database;
  • From 2012 to the present: Implementing Oracle Business Intelligence in all business areas, starting from Sales and covering the entire range of business processes. In the same year, the Group was equipped with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, dedicated to consolidated financial statements;
  • In 2016: launch of the migration project of all Oracle systems on the Amazon AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud platform.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide the Customer with a single centralized information system capable of supporting and controlling the entire range of processes, both at the parent company level and at the level of various foreign subsidiaries (both productive and commercial);
  • Provide a KPI-based control model that can effectively support the company in strategic and operational decisions;
  • Manage integration with key customer systems, to optimize the process of collecting and executing orders;
  • Accompany the customer in the evolution of technology and application platforms, keeping them constantly updated.

Unique Group Control characterized by a strong push towards internationalization, as well as a decision-making model based on Oracle tools.
