Just one month ago, Oracle published an official document on the evolutionary path of Oracle JD Edwards, one of the most important solutions provided by the American vendor. ERP solutions, like Oracle JD Edwards, have been designed and developed to manage the various business processes, from the Active to the Passive Cycle, from Logistics to Warehouse, from Planning to Production and from Finance to Management Control, in a flexible and efficient way. The aim of this tool is to provide complete support in business management, adapting it to changes of the digital economy by taking advantage of latest technologies.
JD Edwards Enterprise One: Oracle announced that continuous product developments have been planned until 2028. This means that multiple and periodic updates will be released in order to give users the support of a renewed instrument. Considering the addition of 8 years of Maintenance guaranteed by the head office, corporate customers who have decided, or will decide, to manage their business with the support of Oracle JD Edwards, will be guided through next evolutions until 2036.
The 9.2 version, currently available, has already been modified with many improvements since his release back to the market and many new features have been added (for example “One-Click Provisioning”, “Service Management Usability”, “Clustering & Scalability for Oracle Public Cloud”, “Service Management UI”, etc.).
Users are gaining many benefits from each update, but if it is true that much has already been done, it is also true that much more will be done.
In fact nearly 40 new functions will be integrated into JD Edwards EnterpriseOne instrument in order to guarantee upgrades and a high level innovation which will support the decision makers for the next twenty years.
